Consultations, procedures and surgery now going ahead

Life is beginning to get back to more normality!

As the restrictions around coronavirus and COVID-19 continue to be lifted I am pleased to say that I am now able to see people in clinic, carry out clinic procedures, and carry out surgery.

It's still not normal and for the clinic we have a number of sensible precautions in place to protect you from the risks of COVID-19. Please see the document below.

For operations these are now being carried out and I have good availabilty. We are doing everything appropriate to keep those hospitals free of COVID-19. This means you will need to self isolate for 14 days before any surgery and you will be tested for COVID-19 three days before surgery and we will only go ahead if you are free of COVID-19.

The one thing that they are still quite restricted is the ability to do steroid injections and this requires the same precautions as an operation, with 14 days of isolation beforehand and a negative Covid test. This may well change in the near future.
