This week I had 4 new ACL ruptures, all in players playing Scrum Half, then I sat down to watch the England Wales game and witnessed another in the match.
All were devastating injuries, which will really set the players back.
In 3 of the 4 I saw the players were not usually scrum half and were substituted into the role.
Particularly at school level where at any given age there a can be a big size mismatch this is a real danger.
So I am going to be busy over the next few weeks getting these knees back in action. Anyone subbing in to scrum half - be extra careful!
Certainly ACL reconstruction is becoming a year round job!
